  • Overview

    The Director of Performance Improvement works collaboratively with leadership, management, and front-line staff to help effectively implement new programs, to evaluate program performance, and to develop and implement improvement initiatives. The Director of Performance Improvement also ensures departments are adhering to company policies and standards, as well as all relevant laws and regulations, and if needed, actively leads and participates in the enhancement of existing policies and standards and development and implementation of new ones. Additionally, the Director of Performance Improvement may help develop training and quality programs as necessary and evaluate these programs' efficacy.

    Responsibilities

    1. Lead identification of continuous improvement opportunities and recommends solutions to the appropriate department and system individuals. Assists in the implementation and execution of solutions
    2. Assist in the creation and/or enhancement of performance metrics, reporting and improvement targets.
    3. Continuously monitor performance by critically evaluating data/information and using recognized tools and software.
    4. Oversee new program implementations to proactively identify and implement performance management and improvement measures.
    5. Develop, oversee, and improve daily operations, policies, systems and procedures necessary to improve program effectiveness and efficiency.
    6. Research and transfer best practices to support performance improvement projects and renders reports based on analysis and research.
    7. Direct standardization of operational policies and procedures across the company.
    8. Utilize comparative data to target performance improvement opportunities.
    9. Ensure the delivery of consistent and accurate management reporting to accelerate decision making.
    10. Serve as resource for standard work development.
    11. Provide weekly and monthly status updates.

    Qualifications

    1. Master's Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, preferred.
    2. Minimum 7 years relevant work experience with minimum 3 years of leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    3. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified or ability to attain within one year, required.
    4. PMP certified (preferred)
