    Advance Health is focused on improving the quality of life for health plan members through health assessments, effective care coordination and best in class care management. The Advance Health Care Management Program is for health plan members residing in their own home, long-term care, residential care, or other facilities.

    Advance Health is seeking a Director of Operations with expertise managing complex populations, experience working in multidisciplinary teams, and the desire to make a difference in people’s lives. While there are many goals of this program, the overriding one is to improve the member’s quality of life and health outcomes.

    The Director of Operations will manage the day to day operations for a program or programs and will provide leadership in coordinating with other organizational teams to achieve business objectives, maintain client satisfaction, and ensure that Advance Health’s services support customer’s needs.


    • Provide leadership to internal team to ensure optimal program management and the meeting or exceeding of client expectations.
    • Guarantees Service Level Agreement performance and compliance with both Advance Health and company policies and procedures in the operations of the program.
    • Develop a program evaluation framework of business processes to identify potential challenges and risks and to develop and implement solutions to mitigate challenges and risks.
    • Analyzes operational reporting and proactively identifies trends to facilitate continuous operational improvements.
    • Evaluates and documents the outcomes (e.g., risks; benefits; impacts) of business decisions and / or changes on implemented business processes.
    • Leads and actively participates in planning, management, administrative, staff and client meetings and training activities.
    • Participates in the evaluation of program growth opportunities.
    • Demonstrates leadership by reinforcing positive behavior and promoting recognition through the use of effective employee evaluations, employee appreciation, effective hiring practices, and accountability.
    • Secures needed resources (e.g., different functional teams; subject matter experts; internal and / or external stakeholders) to implement business solutions in a positive and timely manner.
    • Perform other duties, as assigned.


    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Health Administration or equivalent work experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of project/program/process management experience is required.
    • Management experience is preferred.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to leadership and to client.
    • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple projects in a timely manner.
    • Ability to implement change.
    • PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and various computer software programs.
    • Position based in the Richmond office.
