    Advance Health is a privately owned company focusing on health assessments and care coordination to seniors in their homes.  Our goal is to improve the health of seniors by offering quality home health services. The data we collect helps enhance the effectiveness of the care management programs.  As navigating the health care system becomes increasingly complex, it is important to help our seniors receive the services needed to maintain healthy lifestyles and hire quality Nurse Practitioners to do the job.

    Responsibilities

    • Review and audit medical records and Home Assessments to extract diagnoses for Risk Adjustment purposes with a minimum of 95% accuracy and high productivity
    • Participate in staff meetings and project updates to maintain expert level of proficiency in coding software system and reporting as needed
    • Participate in all Risk Adjustment abstraction training regarding coding standards for Risk Adjustment including annual updates
    • Other duties as assigned by management staff

    Qualifications

    Qualification:

    • Minimum 2 years medical chart review and audit experience required
    • Minimum 2 years Medicare Risk Adjustment (HCC coding) experience required
    • Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA required
    • General knowledge of medical conditions, illnesses, and treatment practices with detailed knowledge of ICD-9 and 10 coding
    • Minimum of 2 years experience working with CMS and/or Medicaid guidelines
    • Full time (40 hours per week) with potential for overtime on an as needed basis
    • Strong data entry and computer navigation skills
    • Proficient with PC-based systems and the ability to learn new information system and software programs
    • Detail and process oriented with focus on efficiency and quality
    • Ability to establish and maintain positive work relationships with coworkers, clients, and management
    • Strong communication skills when reporting audit results back to coders and clients
